On-Scene Coordinator Training (OSC) | REFRESHER

The On-Scene Coordinator Refresher Course aims to refresh previously obtained knowledge of the participants in performing the function of an OSC in a SAR situation and encourages situational awareness and teamwork on the bridge.

The course utilizes various scenarios to cement the theoretical modules and focuses on the importance of human resources in time-sensitive missions.

On-Scene Coordinator Training (Refresher Course)

The On-Scene Coordinator Refresher Course is designed to build on the knowledge and skills gained from the previously completed On-Scene Coordinator Basic and Advanced courses, which are based on the recommended requirements of the IMO Model Course 3.15 and the IAMSAR Manual Vol. III.

Its main purpose is to refresh the participants' understanding and abilities in performing the role of an On-Scene Coordinator in a search and rescue situation, while also emphasizing the importance of teamwork and situational awareness on the bridge.

The course includes various scenarios to help reinforce the theoretical modules and provide a well-rounded learning experience. By the end of the course, participants should feel more confident in their ability to act as an effective leader within a SAR mission and make quick, informed decisions when necessary.
